Digimarc Verify

Digimarc Verify is a comprehensive application tailored for brand owners and their production partners to ensure the integrity and accuracy of packaging data. It operates as a component of Digimarc's Quality Management System and is purpose-built to validate that the Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) information within the virtually imperceptible Digimarc Barcode on consumer packaging and thermal labels matches that of the traditional UPC/EAN barcode.

Using the app, users can authenticate the data with ease. Simply hold a mobile device 4 to 7 inches away from the packaging or label that features the Digimarc Barcode. The system then instructs the user to scan the traditional 1D barcode. In moments, it compares both barcodes, providing a confirmation result alongside other relevant details regarding the package.

An additional highlight includes the Signal Sight feature, which, upon confirming a match, allows scanning of other parts of the package or label for further data verification. Signal Sight illuminates areas embedded with the unique barcode, showcasing a green animation when matched data is detected.

This innovative technology embeds a digital ID into a product’s packaging or label, carrying the GTIN data usually found in a UPC/EAN symbol. Such a novel barcode can expedite the checkout process by eliminating the need to search for the code. Furthermore, it allows for interactive engagement by linking customers with extensive product information, offers, reviews, and social network connections directly through their mobile devices.
